The first quarter of 2010 has already come and passed, which means we have come up with a preliminary best-songs-of-the-year list. Like last year, will be updating this list at the end of each quarter, only this time, we’ve included free MP3 downloads for dozens of approved tracks. Unlike last year, this list will not be limited to official singles. Instead, I proposed that only one song by an artist can be on the list. And in respect to songs from albums released in 2009, only songs that have been released as singles in 2010 but are from albums not in our Best Albums of 2009 list will be eligible. You don’t have to worry about these rules, but they can relieve the comments section quite a bit if they are properly noted.
As always, your comments and suggestions are welcome and greatly appreciated. There’s nothing better than discovering tunes I might have missed in the comments section. Now lets get on with our 40 favorite tunes of the first quarter of 2010.
